September 30th is Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
At St. Stephen's we will be honouring September 27th as Orange Shirt Sunday, a time to remember and honour Indigenous children who were taken from their communities and families to residential institutions. Orange Shirt Day is an invitation to everyone to wear an orange shirt to show their compassion for the survivors of the Indian Residential Schools and to say that all children matter.
Events are taking place across the land on September 30 to mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Please find one and join in.
