Theological thinking is a very important discipline, for all of us, for in it we consider and wrestle with what we believe about life and about the God who is at the centre of life. However if theology goes no further than thinking it quickly becomes lifeless, and that is the exact opposite of what is meant to happen when we contemplate life and God.

In poetry and song we hear the words of theology but they are carried beyond our heads to our hearts, opening the way for us to feel these theological truths in ways beyond words, opening us to the life that God is longing to give to us all. In this brief video we get to hear and feel profound theological truths in Malcom Guite’s rich poetry, both in spoken word and then set to music and sung by Steve Bell.
