Nothing Between Us and God’s Love

Read
Read Romans 8:31-39 four times very slowly.  Here is a link to that reading in an online bible:

Think
Logically understanding that God loves us is fairly easy.  But grasping this truth to its fullest extent in our hearts and souls – in every corner of our everyday existence – requires more.  We think we know God loves us, but we don’t often ponder this profound truth, this important element of our identity as God’s children.

Read the passage again.  This time underline the phrases that speak directly to you and encourage your heart.  With each underline, say aloud, “Thank you, God, for how much you love me.”

“Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between [you] and Christ’s love for [you]? … No way!” When you read Paul’s words, what flows through your mind and heart?

Pray
Sit in silence with one thought in mind: I am loved by God. If your mind begins to wander, simply whisper, “Thank you for loving me Jesus.”  Claim the promises of this passage as your own.

Live
Live confidently knowing that “absolutely nothing can get between you and God’s love.”  He loves you that much!
