This Friday we turn again to a prayer from the people of Commons Church and their book of prayers, “From A Season Like No Other.” Today’s prayer is titled, “God Who Feeds” and it is a prayer of grace, suitable for praying as you sit for a meal.  We encourage you today to hold onto this simple and profound grace and maybe pray it as you sit to eat later today.

May God’s blessing be upon you as we pray together today,
Dianne

God Who Feeds

We eat when we are in a hurry.
We eat when our blood sugar tanks.
We eat when called to the table.
We eat when we need to nourish others.
O God, who feeds the trees with rain,
the skies with light and darkness,
the garden with nutrient-rich soil,
the seasons with the earth’s rotation around the sun,
you hold the expanding cosmos together,
and for all that, we say thank you,
wow,
and amen.
