Devotional Links for August 2022

As Brenda wisely encouraged us all in her June 30th devotional (https://www.ststephensucqualicum.ca/blog/thursday-june-30th)  summer is a time when we can sometimes slow down and focus more on “being” than “doing”.  I will be doing just that for the month of August and so we will shift our daily rhythm here on the Daily Devotionals page.

Instead of posting specific devotionals for each day we encourage you to return to this page and select something from among these options that seems to draw you.  And if you find one website that really seems to fit for you right now, I encourage you to return to that one as a daily practice this month.  You might enjoy a deeper journey as the creators take you from day to day, so you can discover a rich continuity as you let the Spirit lead you through the series of offerings for this month.

Whether you visit one or more of these sites, my prayer is that through your time spent seeking  you might discover that God is closer to you than you thought.

Revised Common Lectionary

This link will take you to the readings for the week (that we normally post on Tuesdays).  This month the gospel readings for each week will be the passages we focus on each Sunday in worship.
