Salish Sea Week of Lanterns Festival
This year, The Old School House (TOSH) is participating in the 2021 Salish Sea Week of Lanterns Festival from August 15th – 21st. Community Members and businesses are encouraged to display lanterns on their front lawns, balconies and windows at 7pm daily for everyone to enjoy. The festival originated in Saanich and Sidney and this year Qualicum, the Comox Valley, Ladysmith, Salt Spring Island, and Gabriola Island are joining the Festival.
We thought this would be a fun activity for St. Stephen’s to be involved with in our community and help spread some light! If you would like to help, please drop off your lanterns to the church office by noon on Wednesday August 11th so we can prepare to get them hung before the 15th (it would be helpful if you could contact the office by email if you plan to participate.)
Pre-made kits are available in the TOSH gift shop for $10 (while supplies last) or you can make your own by watching these tutorial videos. Details about this Festival can also be found here.
