The Island Crisis and Care Society are implementing an extreme weather shelter in Parksville. Two ways that the ICCS have suggested that people can assist are:

  1. Volunteering – They need volunteers. If you are wanting more information about this and other elements of the program, head over to this webpage.
  2. Financial support – The shelter has continuing financial needs and the ICCS is encouraging people, busnesses, and congregations to “adopt the shelter for the night.” The cost of keeping the shelter open for a night is $600.

Applications and donations can be made through the website.
