Grace United Church & St. Stephen’s United Church are  excited to host a one-day 'Basic Helping Skills Training' featuring Bill Cole from South Island Centre for Counselling and Training in Victoria. TOPICS INCLUDE: three aspects of good listening; theological reflection; practice listening; the five best and five worst things a helper can do; role play; a case study and boundaries.

Date: June 12th, 9am to 3pm, Thursday
Where: St. Stephen’s United Church

Cost: $20 per person (payment on arrival, please)

Bio on Bill Cole: Bill Cole has a Master of Arts in Theology and is a Registered Clinical Counseller. He has been the Director of Services for South Island Centre for Counselling and Training for 18 years and a pastoral counsellor for the last 27. He counsels individuals, couples and families around a variety of issues, including grief and loss, depression, anxiety, abuse, addictions, couple and family conflict and spiritual concerns. He also trains in counselling skills, pastoral care team development, marriage preparation, relationship growth and family of origin and family sytems work. Bill is married to Corinne and they have two adult children who have their own families.
